Badger Mods started with a simple idea: time is personal, and the watch on your wrist should be too.

My love for watches started long before Badger Mods. It goes back to the first watch my dad gave me. I still remember how it felt to put it on. It was a small moment, but one that stayed with me and sparked a lifelong appreciation for watches.

More importantly, it taught me something I understand even more today: time is the most valuable thing we have. We can make more money. We can replace the things we own. But we never get our time back. What we choose to do with it, and who we choose to spend it with, matters.

Over the years, I collected and traded all kinds of watches, but I kept running into the same problem. The pieces I loved were often overpriced, impossible to find, or missing the small details that would have made them feel like mine.

Then life gave the idea of time an entirely different meaning.

I started building watches while going through cancer treatment. At first, it had nothing to do with starting a business. I simply needed something positive to focus on, something I could work on with my hands, lose myself in for a few hours, and look forward to.

So I started building for myself. Then I built a few for friends and family. Before long, people were asking if I could build something for them.

What began as a way to keep my mind focused on something positive became a passion I never expected. Every watch I built reminded me why I fell in love with watches in the first place. It wasn't about the name on the dial or what someone else thought it was worth. It was about creating something personal, something that felt right to the person wearing it.

That's how Badger Mods was born. The name comes from Wisconsin, the place I call home, but it also represents the way I try to approach anything that matters: work hard, pay attention to the details, stay stubborn when things get difficult, and take pride in what you create.

Today, every Badger Mods watch is still built with that same mindset. Because to me, a watch is more than something that tells time. It's a reminder that time matters.
